We love games like: Disco Elysium, because it's one of the best narrative games ever. Charismatic characters, unique setting - all this we are inspired by. Also worth mentioning is The Witcher series and its gray morals. Our game is linear, it won't have different endings, but we still try to put the player in a situation of choice, and sometimes hard choices. And as for the visual part, we are very impressed by HLD with its elaborated palette and very smooth animations, well, and the sound of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Genshin Impact is just incredible, we listen to music from it with the entire team. We will try to implement certain aspects of these in our game.
Which platforms will be available?
Currently, our plan is to release YUMA on PC. Other platforms are a good start for the future, but right now we are focused on getting to the PC. As the development of the game progresses, we will inform you about other exit platforms...
Who is developing YUMA?
We are a young development team. Everyone has experience in creating small games. We have teamed up to create something more than just a very small game.
When will YUMA be released?
YUMA is currently in development, and we need some time to release it. The main focus is on the study of new methods of work to create a quality product. It takes a lot of time. We are not announcing an approximate release date, but we are working hard to bring this day closer.
What software do you use?
We use Game Maker to develop the game. Sprites are drawn and animated in Aseprite. We use a lot of links for inspiration on sites like Artstation, Midjourney. As for the script, we use Twine to work with it. To record our progress, we use OBS and edit video footage using Adobe Premiere to create videos demonstrating the development of the game. Well, everything about management: confluence, jira, etc.
